From the Trustees
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Trust’s website.
This Trust is born out of a very strong belief in the need to help children and young people who have additional needs including those arising from behavioural and emotional needs and/or learning difficulties, particularly ASD, ADHD, COD, communication issues and problems accessing literacy. Both schools have excellent facilities, good reputations and dedicated highly professional staff which result in a progressive attitude backed by years of experience.
Our philosophy, which complements an "inclusivity" approach, is closely linked to the "Every Child Matters" agenda. We believe we are leaders in the field in developing "specialist" special schools in order to maximise opportunities for our pupils and to be more closely integrated within our local communities.
Staff are valued through a strong belief in promoting professional development and ongoing training. Such commitment brings added benefits to our pupils together with an emphasis on solid teamwork.
We value the links we have with the communities and families we serve and continue to seek ways in which we can provide further services. At the same time we are conscious of the need for financial prudence at times of economic uncertainty.
