About our services

With more than 15 years' experience, the Trust is well placed to deliver high-quality provision in the areas of behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) education and complex needs via our two schools, Grafham Grange and Brantridge.

We work in partnership with local authorities, through effective commissioning of our services to meet the needs of challenging pupils presenting a variety of needs.

These needs include:

  • Conduct disorder
  • Attention deficient and hyperactivity disorder
  • Autistic spectrum disorder with challenging behaviour

Trust Schools have become recognised as centres of excellence for hard-to-place students, including looked after children as verified by our inspection results.

We pay close attention to measuring, monitoring and evaluating the progress of our students and have developed an integrated, interdisciplinary approach combining therapeutic care, social care and educational elements; in most cases, we achieve high-level outcomes for our students.

These are delivered as additional services under the national contract for commissioning and represent, we believe, impressive value for money. Grafham Grange School is placed in the top 5% of all schools for 'value added' in a national survey (KS2-4 2006).

We are proud of our growing contribution within the wider continuum of provision for students with significant additional needs. Our well-qualified staff place the students at the centre of individualised learning programmes. Our students participate in shaping the services they receive and decisions that affect them by:

  • becoming members of schools councils
  • being part of high-performing sports teams
  • helping to run and host regional sports and creative art events
  • contributing to and creating school newsletters
  • and planning activities and summer camps as part of the waking hours curriculum
